Type of membership
1/ ORDINARY MEMBER (voting right) – Organizations which have a legal presence in Vietnam in a form permitted by the laws of Vietnam and which:
- are Canadian-invested companies, branches or representative offices of Canadian companies; or
- are majority-owned subsidiaries of Canadian companies; or
- can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the Executive Board that they have substantial ties to Canada; or
- have senior management who is Canadian.
2/ ASSOCIATE MEMBER (no voting right) – Organizations which:
- are established under the laws of Vietnam but do not otherwise satisfy the conditions to become an ordinary corporate member; or
- can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the Executive Committee that they have substantial ties to Canada and Vietnam but do not have a legal presence in Vietnam in a form permitted by the laws of Vietnam.
**CanCham will review your business license and decide which type of membership is for your organization.
